T&S Accessories - Far East (Hong Kong)

World trade affairs in the Far East, particularly China, Deemed it essential that T & S was at the centre of Far eastern trading opportunities.

In October 2003 T & S Far East was registered.

Initial operations centered around quality control of goods being shipped from Far East. That meant checking all shipments in accordance with the UK’s ever increasing list of customers. Auditing factories used by T & S was essential, as they had to be to our customers high standard requirement. Also inspecting production lines, and final product inspection, before allowing shipments to leave factories. T & S also controlled shipping through their own agent.

After a year of studying the far eastern process, and “how it worked”, T & S set up it’s sourcing operation.

Initially it was to source and supply new and innovative products for the companies UK operation, as a support to the sales units.

That sector of the operation has proved extremely successful, and in 2005 T & S started sourcing and selling product direct to major Hong Kong buying offices. In 2005/6 T & S Far East sales through this avenue was US$850000. In 2006/7 the sales figure reached US$5.100.000. This was an incredible achievement. It was reached without any quality issues and a 98% on time delivery ratio.

The T & S Far East office controls sourcing, development, quality control and shipping to Australia, America, Canada, All over Europe and 16 Asian countries.

Buyers from overseas are constantly visiting the company’s show rooms.

T & S Far East deal predominantly with Blue chip, major retailers from all countries. Their expertise lies in handling large volumes quickly and efficiently.

T & S works within it’s own capabilities, and handles ranges within which they understand, and claim to be expert in those fields.

The company prides itself in its design capabilities for both new products and packaging. We work with few factories, and are not just collectors. We have working experience with our existing factories over many years. Standards and support, as well as price are key factors in our operation.

Designs can be made exclusively for individual customers, products can be tailor made. T & S has a dedicated metal implement factory in Pakistan that works to the highest standards, and works exclusively for this company. This factory has been audited, and approved by our leading retail customers.

Our packaging supplier has all the latest design capabilities, along with our own UK designers, so packaging can be produced quickly to support urgent needs. Within this operation we have over 300 sewing machines that can produce cosmetic and toilet bags to support our ranges.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS

Every company is always on the lookout for new ideas, materials or designs.

T & S is no exception.

We are developing ranges of BAMBOO products to replace WOODEN PRODUCTS. Not a first, not brand new! Except, T & S has access to a unique form of bamboo. Stronger than wood, nicer than wood and faster growing, and self-reproducing, than wood. T & S has a factory in the Philippines that farms and produces the blocks from which the products are made.

In August 2007 T & S, FNJ and the mayor of the district have agreed that FNJ (Philippine factory, can have 275 acres of land to plant and produce its own bamboo, as well as working with the 47 farms in the area.

China is now experiencing so many problems to gain FCR license’s for it’s wood that more and more of our customers are turning to bamboo.

The unique part about this bamboo is that it can only be found in this one area. It has no, or just a small hole through it’s centre. It grows at the rate of 30 meters per year and matures for farming in 2. It is self-reproducing, and after one cut as many as 12 shoots can appear to replace the one cut.

At present there are 60 million trees available to T & S for use.

FNJ are the only contracted Philippine company to cut and export the bamboo blocks of this kind.
